Reminiscent of bridge truss architecture, the Rinaldo is comfortable, sturdy and stylish.
The Rinaldo Chair is named after John Rinaldo. Artist, Gentleman, old Friend. He relinquished his prosperous life as co-owner of a big-city advertising firm to become the gardener on a country estate for a guy who inspected his flower beds by helicopter. While performing this rather frustrating work Rinaldo befriended a crow whom he named Fred who would roost on his shoulder from time to time. Fred could say a few words — among them, ‘goddamn helicopter’.
Composed of just eight parts, the Rinaldo is assembled by one person in about five minutes without the aid of tools or fasteners. It is then ready for reposure.
Like all Plydeas, the Rinaldo is made from zero VOC prefinished, FSC solid birch plywood. It ships flat, saving you money on shipping, saving fuel in the process and helping to reduce our impact on the environment.
